These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of thecaio.eu (the "Site") and the content, tools, and self-assessment provided on it. The Site is operated by The CAIO, a brand of iMentiX ("we", "us"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

The Site provides information about our board-level AI advisory services and a free AI Readiness Self-Assessment tool. The self-assessment and any scores, maturity labels, or recommendations it generates are provided for general informational purposes only.

2. No professional advice; no guarantees

Content on the Site, including self-assessment results, does not constitute legal, financial, regulatory, or professional advice, and should not be relied upon as such. AI readiness scores are indicative estimates based on your self-reported answers and do not guarantee any particular outcome. Any formal advisory relationship is governed by a separate written engagement agreement, not by these Terms.

3. EU AI Act and compliance references

References to the EU AI Act and other regulations are provided for general awareness. They are not a substitute for tailored legal or compliance advice. You are responsible for ensuring your organization's compliance with applicable laws.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to submit false information, attempt to disrupt or overload the Site or its services, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or use automated means to submit the assessment repeatedly. Submissions may be rate-limited.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including text, design, the assessment framework, and branding — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or redistribute it without our prior written permission.

6. Third-party links and services

The Site links to third-party services, including Google Calendar for booking and imentix.ai. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites and services, which are governed by their own terms.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its content or self-assessment results. The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

8. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the applicable member state in which the operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
